Two hole pipe straps provide more fastening force for conduit pipe mounting. If mounting surface space allows for two holes, these fasteners are preferred. Where space is limited, one hole pipe straps allow secure fastening of conduit pipe requiring less mounting surface. For each respective conduit pipe diameter, the one hole strap is fabricated using heavier gage steel to provide supplemental mechanical strength to the single point of mounting (requiring less mounting space).

Our products (made of stainless steel) are much less likely to corrode, rust or stain when in contact with water compared to ordinary steel and zinc coated steel. However, they are not fully stain-proof in low-oxygen, high-moisture, or poor air-circulation environments. We offer both 304 and 316 grade stainless steel for use where both the properties of steel and corrosion resistance are required. 316 stainless steel offers a relatively higher level of corrosion resistance than 304 and 304 stainless steel offers significantly higher corrosion resistance than zinc coated steel.

Stainless steel differs from standard cold rolled steel by the amount of chromium present. Uncoated carbon steel will rust easily when exposed to air and moisture. Rust is the formation of an iron oxide film on the surface of the steel. Rust is always active and accelerates corrosion by forming more iron oxide and, because of the greater volume of the iron oxide, this tends to flake and fall away. Stainless steels contain sufficient chromium to form a film of chromium oxide on the steel surface which prevents further surface corrosion by blocking iron oxide formation on the steel surface and blocks corrosion from spreading into the metal’s internal structure.
